How Our Roller Derby Season is Structured

We’ve designed our seasons to cater to skaters of all levels, ensuring every athlete has the opportunity to grow and thrive on the track. Here's how our year-round structure works:

Season Breakdown

Level 3 - Competition Team: Black Rose "Rebellion" and Black Rose "Rage"

• Dates: January 2025 – June 2025

• Commitment: Sundays and Tuesdays. 

• Description:
  Our most advanced skaters come together during this time to refine skills, develop advanced strategies, and compete in regulation-style bouts. This team is for dedicated skaters ready to push their limits and represent Black Rose Juniors in competitions.

Level 2 - Intermediate Skaters: Black Rose "Riot"

• Spring Season: March 2025 – May 2025

• Fall Season: September 2025 – November 2025

• Commitment: Sundays

• Description:
  Level 2 skaters build upon foundational skills while learning gameplay strategies and teamwork. These seasons are perfect for skaters who are ready to step up from the basics and begin preparing for more competitive play.

Level 0/1 - Intro to Roller Derby

• Dates: July 2025 – August 2025

• Description:
  New to roller derby? This program is designed for beginners, focusing on skating fundamentals, safety, and basic derby skills. It’s the perfect opportunity to lace up your skates and discover the excitement of roller derby in a supportive environment.
